In, it is common to eat gooseberries steeped in salt water and turmeric to make the sour fruits palatable.The tree is well adopted to dry regions and can also be grown in moderate alkaline soils. It is also used to straighten hair.
HOW TO GROW:
Once received keep the plant in natural indirect bright Light. Do not re-pot for minimum two weeks after receiving it.Water when top soil (1-2inches) feels dry to touch. The plant will grow just about anywhere and under a wide range of environmental conditions. Dig a hole somewhat shallower than the length of the root ball. Place the plant in the hole and replace soil, tamping firmly as you go. Water sufficiently. Water thoroughly after planting. Thereafter, water as needed to keep the soil evenly and consistently moist. In our experience, one to two weeks depending on the season is necessary to reestablish the plant happily.
